Happy New year to everyone! We made it to 2018. We’ve got over 300 days to make this year as amazing as it could possibly be. Of course this time of year is perfect for reflecting on the last year and seeing what worked in our lives and what didn’t. We might make New Year resolutions, and (attempt to) keep them.
Personally, I’ve never been one to make any resolutions, because I never thought I’d keep to them. But this year, I have a lot of things I want to achieve and for the first time in my life I feel really driven to achieve them.
They’re not huge resolutions, but rather habits I want to put in place to get to where I want t be; I think that’s really important. When we make huge resolutions, it gets harder to see how we could possibly make any really changes, and so fall off the bandwagon by the 15th of January.
Starting with 2/3 small changes that are realistic and manageable will make the task a lot less daunting. Once you feel you’ve made a permanent change in those areas, move on to 2/3 more etc etc. Before December, you’ll be a changed person! Well hopefully anyway 😂
My overarching theme for this year is summed up quite beautifully by St. Catherine of Sienna:
e created to be, and you will set the world on fire”
What is your theme for 2018?
